Had enough excitement yet? No? Good, because we’re not done yet by a long way! It is our immense pleasure to announce that KARL PHILLIPS & THE REJECTS will be joining us in Ratlinghope for this year’s Farmer Phil’s Festival.
If you don’t already know about Karl Phillips & The Rejects, by the time autumn 2017 comes around, you will do – we defy you to sit/stand still while these guys are onstage. Bending the stylings of hip-hop, ska, punk, rap and balls-to-the-wall rock to their infectious will, this Midlands-based septet (for the mathematically challenged, that’s seven band members… a handpicked mob from Dub Pistols, Imperial Leisure and New Groove Foundation no less) are bouncy, groovy, funky, poppy, grimy and will be bringing the party, make no mistake!
In the past few years Karl has shared stages with the likes of Chase & Status, Example, Ella Eyre, The King Blues, The Skints, Alabama 3 and Farmer Phil’s Festival favourites Dreadzone among others.
If ever there was a safe bet for a band to the perfect choice for Farmer Phil’s Festival, it’s these guys. Virtual Festivals described Karl Phillips & The Rejects as “This is music to wake you up, slap you around the face to make sure you are listening, and force you to do an hour in the gym before breakfast.”
Listen in to Huy Stephens’ show on BBC Radio One tonight between 10pm and 1am for the exclusive first radio play of latest single ‘Plastic Gangsta’, or if you can’t wait that long (or if you’re reading this tomorrow… if that makes sense?) then here’s the promo video to be enjoyed right here, right now!
