Festival Internet & Mobile Phone Access
 Pick-up your Email on Site
You can pick up your email on your mobiles and laptops by the lake entrance.. Mobile phone charge point will be provided by Power Point Ltd on the main site. Signal strength varies through the day and works very well at the top of the main stage area. However there are dead patches but as you walk around text messages get through on low signal.

There will be a fancy dress competition for the kids on Sunday and the theme will be recycling, all costumes will be made at the festival with the help of Fashion designer Danny, judging will take place on the main stage on Sunday the 14th of August.
Farmer Phil's Festival returns once again as a three day festival and takes place on 10th - 12th of August 2012 1.9 miles from Ratlinghope, Shropshire UK.
Set 1000 ft above sea level the festival caters for 2000 people and regard it as a family friendly event.
Emergency Numbers
You can dial 999 on most networks but the signal can be patchy in some areas of the site. Stewards cary on site communication devices which are all charged every day. This should be your first port of call for any issues! or go to the Farmer Phil's Merchandise tent situated to the right of the main stage. Announcements are made from the the main stage.

We have full Medical Care team run by Dan Lucy and Ruth Lang on site during the festival. Our medical team are a festival specialist that cater for large gatherings and off road events.

Coaches
3 Coaches running between 11am and 2pm on Friday and Saturday from Shrewsbury main train station. Price £7 each way. Children under 10's travel free. Return on Monday. 
Campfires are Permitted in all Areas

Campfires are permitted in all areas. A 'chiminea' (see small image left) or 'raised outdoor fire pit' (see image right) is more environmentaly friendly. We have a wood supplier on site £5 a bag (see campimg page for more info)

Security lockers for your valuables will be provided on site.
Drugs 'read this carefully'
This is now a family friendly festival and our aim is to keep it that way - therefore, we operate a 'No Drugs Policy'. Anyone caught with class A drugs will be ejected from the site. Dealers and class A drug users will be reported to the police. Its a very clear message!!
Alcohol
Please drink responsibly while on the festival site. You are allowed o bring a reasonable amount of your own alcohol on to the campsite, However you can not bring glass or cans into the festival arenas. Large amounts of alcohol and alcohol for resale on the campsite is not allowed
Hair Straightening
Yes. You can have your hair straightened every day at the festival.
Dogs / Pets
Yes: Dogs are allowed but must be on a lead at all times. Please Scoop your Poop!! Dogs must not enter other farmers land.
Bar & Restaurant
The bar and restaurant opens on the Wednesday (10th August) £3 a pint. Kaltenberg Larger, Guinness, Rosy, Dry and Medium Cider, Creamflow and Guinness.
Newsagent / Tobacconist
You will be able to buy the daily papers, tobacco and roll you own paper on site all through the festival.
Mobile Signal & Mobile Charge Point
Nick Boden - PowaPoint Ltd will be at hand to have your mobile phone charged on site.
There is an excellent signal by the entrance to the lake, however mobile signal is very patchy in the rural areas. You always get a signal at the top of the main festival site and the rest of the site comes and goes through out the day. Text messaging works very well on low signal.
Missing Persons
If you loose a child or adult please go to the Farmer Phil's Merchandise tent situated to the right of the main stage.
Announcements are made from the Main Stage, Acoustic Stage and Varity Tent.
Children
Children under 16 will not be admitted through the gate without an adult.
Trading
Strictly no trading is permitted within the festival arena, campsite or car parks without prior written consent. No fly pitching!

Steward / Volunteer - Application Form
Become a Steward / Volunteer at Farmer Phil's Festival 2010. We need help getting the festival to run smoothly - "It is really good to see the other side of the festival, the nitty-gritty of how the event is run," says Caron.
This year Farmer Phil will be issuing certificates to the three Stewards - Volunteers who show outstanding contribution to the festival.
Stewards get a free festival pass to all events over the weekend and have the same status as a ticket holder. Stewards work 12 hours that's (4 hours a day) through out the festival.

Clothing
Bring warm clothing for the evenings as the weather can change without warning,- Bring walking shoes as there are some beautiful walks around the festival site. We have all the other main facilities you will need.
Dress Code
This is a family festival - dress in a responsible fashion you feel would be acceptable to children and adults on site.
Weather Requirements
We are 1000 feet above sea level so nights can be chilly. . bring a warm jumper, wellies in case it rains. There is no light pollution at Farmer Phil's - 2011 will will be a half moon on the 10th August! - the stars are absolutely amazing. However bring a torch or better still a head lamp from a camping shop - Farmer Phil recommends the Petzel Zipka
available at most camping shops. We get your car out of the campsites regardless of the conditions and always have a couple of 4X4's, tractors and manpower to get things flowing.

This festival is situated in one of the most beautiful places in the country and has become a Mecca for artists writers, poets and musicians. Monday 13th Audust should be a big night at our local The Bridges!!

It's only a few miles to Bishop's Castle and we recommend the Three Tuns for food and a drink. The village has a Co-Operative supermarket for all your needs and you can buy wood and petrol at the Texaco filling station on the high street. There are many book stores, pubs and craft shops and take away's to explore in this picturesque village.
You can also go to Harry Tuffins Mini mart in Bishops Castle. Mini mart, Off Licence, Filling Station, Paypoint Tel: 01588 630390. Open 364 days of the year, Opening Times: 7am - 8pm Mon to Sat. 8am - 6pm Sun . 11.3 miles.

The current supermarket at Churchstoke offers 40,000 sq. feet of floor space selling a huge range of goods from Groceries and Non Food, to petrol, Garden Plants and Cafe. Facilities: Supermarket, Housewares, Clothing, Off Licence, Lottery, Filling Station, Autogas, Café, Hair Dressers, Launderette, Paypoint, Post Office, A.T.M. (free to use). They have a 50 acre country park, (at the rear of the store) with resident and wildlife animals along with spacious play areas for the kids – all free of charge. Walks around the Festival Site
A big feature at Farmer Phils Festival are the daily walks around Nr Gatten Farm. Some campers arrive days in advance for the free camping (only with a valid ticket) and the walks. Hear are a few we have selected but you can just wander 1 mile radius from the farm to see some spectacular views especially on a sunny day. We recommend the Stiper Stones which is an old pagan pilgrimage and shrouded in myth and legend.

Stiper Stones Walk: One of the most beautiful walks in Shropshire - 10 minute drive from festival site. Head for All Ability Trail car park and visit Cranberry Rock, Muckle Rock and The Devils Chair about 1hr round trip. Keep going if you wish but on a sunny day wooow!! Download this Walk

The Shuttles stop near the festival site and are 16-seater mini-buses which provide easy access into the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for walking, sightseeing, pub lunches, picnics and more
