Who’s up for a Sunday Service? We are excited, nay, ecstatic to announce that REVEREND PEYTON’S BIG DAMN BAND will be taking communion as the headline act on the final day of Farmer Phil’s Festival 2017.
Widely considered to be the US’ foremost country blues outfit, the Big Damn Band is fronted by larger-than-life frontman and singer/guitarist Reverend Peyton, who has earned a reputation as an outstanding performance and champion of raw and rootsy music that’s as an infectious as it is brilliant. Their live shows are famed for their intensity and energy, with performance the key component. “If I go and see a show and someone’s just standing there and staring at their feet and singing their songs, I feel insulted. That’s not a performance – I want to know that you’re living that song, not just regurgitating it” says Peyton.
One thing’s for sure, with groove-heavy material like ‘Pot Roast & Kisses’, ‘Clap Your Hands’ and newly-released single ‘We Deserve a Happy Ending’, we can’t see any other outcome than Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band whipping us all up into a frenzy to bring the curtains down on this year’s festival!
