After celebrating their 30-year anniversary in 2023, the release of new album Nine at the end of 2024 welcomes the next phase of Dread. Nine is their ninth official studio album and a reflection of the last 5 years – a culmination of growing and re-inventing the Dread sound.

Dreadzone have been releasing records and progressively bettering, refining and perfecting their own unique and inimitable take on dub since their inception in 1993. They have successfully navigated through an ever-changing musical landscape and have been a creative force now for over three decades.

The 2025 live line-up features Greg Dread, Leo Williams, MC Spee, Earl 16, Bazil and Blake Roberts.

Animals & Friends

The enduring influence and breadth of appeal of Animals & Friends and The Animals’ music in 2010 – The Animals’ 1964 debut was recently included in CLASSIC ROCK magazines’ ’50 Albums That Built Blues Rock ‘.

The band have embarked on over a dozen massive UK tours with Special Guests including Spencer Davis, Stax, Booker T & The MGS and Blues Brothers guitar legend Steve Cropper, Maggie Bell (Stone The Crows) and the late, great Mick Green (The Pirates, Van Morrison, Paul McCartney, Bryan Ferry) – which were the last shows by the guitarist viewed by many as one of the most influential in music.

Animals & Friends remain a seminal rhythm & blues band who still command great respect internationally amongst their peers as well as from fans of all ages who instinctively respond so enthusiastically to such pivotal songs from The Animals’ catalogue such as ‘We Gotta Get Out Of This Place’, ‘Boom Boom’, ‘Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood’, ‘Baby, Let Me Take You Home’, ‘I Put A Spell On You’ and the bands’ multi-million selling anthem and Number One hit across the world – ‘House of The Rising Sun’.

Also Appearing Across The Weekend

The Swamp Stomp Swing Band

Please allow me to introduce The Swamp Stomp String Band. We are a raucous and energetic travelling band, consisting of twangy banjos, thudding double bass, gritty guitars, driving drums and even a flat pack honky-tonk piano. These propel everything from cider swigging drinking songs, to riotous ballads, Irish polkas and all the way to sea shanties! We play rambunctious, up-tempo, old-time music infused with Bluegrass, Country, Americana, and anything else you might find pouring out of a beer (or cider) soaked, roadside dive-bar!

We are truly independent artists; self-recording, promoting and releasing all our own, original music. With boisterous and bawdy, rough and rowdy, theatrically extravagant performances, we’re not your average ‘country’ band and love putting on a great show!

Johnny2Bad

Johnny2Bad aka (J2B) are an 8 piece band from Birmingham, UK, who performs the music of UK Reggae legends UB40 (now fully endorsed by Ali Campbell  himself on national TV interview), presenting their spectacular, electrifying high energy live shows with a Unique twist, doing all the Hits and Classics, including: Here I Am, Homely Girl, Happens Again, Kingston Town, Baby Come Back, Can’t Help Falling in Love, Red Red Wine, Cherry oh Baby, One in Ten, Food for Thought, and much more..  to audiences in both the UK and Europe (with the Brass section and lead vocalist going out into the audience) which really gets the audience up dancing and singing from start to finish. J2B really brings the show to life, with their driving ‘Wow Factor’ personalities and dance moves going into every performance, with a high octane energy, wherever we go.

The band have started to release Original music, with more to come.. and have collaborated with a Freddie McGregor tribute band called “Big Ship Alliance”.

The Northern Soultrain

Now in their seventeenth year as the UK’s leading Northern Soul band, THE NORTHERN SOULTRAIN arrive back at Farmer Phils with their big soul shakedown party promising the hottest soul gig around…. and this Lancashire based, nine piece freight train of a band are showing no signs of slowing down as the group continue to perform at festivals, dance halls and theatres around the UK.

Fronted by their charismatic and energetic lead singer David John Jaggs, the group also present the sounds of the ‘Union Pacific Horns’ and one of the tightest and driving rhythms sections currently on the soul scene!

“We are thrilled to return to Farmer Phils after our gig last year proved to be one of the highlights of the year for us” – Gary Ward (bass).

THE NORTHERN SOULTRAIN will be playing live, the very best soul anthems from Wigan Casino, Twisted Wheel and Blackpool Mecca. Great songs by Dobie Gray, Frank Wilson, Al Wilson, Julien Covay, Billy Butler and many more. Throw in just a pinch Motown and we have a new look Northern Soul stew served up by Lancashire’s very own ‘THE NORTHERN SOULTRAIN!’ A cabaret show this is not, this is an authentic soul party!

Phil Bates

Reimaginings of ELO, Beatles, Trickster, Atlantic, classic songs from the extensive pop/rock/blues songbook, and songs from some of my favourite songwriters – Stevie Wonder, Tom Waits, Steve Earle, Bruce Springsteen, Gerry Rafferty, Keb Mo, Ry Cooder …… plus a smattering of blues, and a soupćon of Celtic.

Plus, some talking about 56 years of my musical history ….. if anyone wants to hear an old fart talking about ‘the good old days’.

Dr and the Medics

Dr and the Medics were created in 1982 at the dawn of the 80’s by The Rev Dr Clive Thomas Jackson just for one show to win a £5 bet.

However, one gig to led to another and they soon discovered that their unique blend of Psychedelia, Glam and Punk Rock was finding an ever-increasing audience. So much so, that by 1985 The NME named them as “THE live band of the year!”

1985 also saw them top the highly respected Indie Charts, with their “Happy but Twisted” E.P.

The band’s next chart success saw them top the charts in the UK and 28 other countries with “Spirit in The Sky”, their signature tune and the song that they are best known for the World over. Often seen as One Hit Wonders the band did get to number 22 with their next single “Burn”, however, The Doctor still likes to wear his “One Hit Wonder” badge with pride, making them the only One Hit Wonder to have had 2 hits!
